Original British Army ammunition/explosives container, dated 1954 and marked MK I H50. This heavy-gauge steel box was manufactured under government contract and used by the Ministry of Supply for the storage and transport of military ordnance.

The box carries multiple authentic markings:

“303 BDR” – indicating issue for .303 Ballistite Drill Rounds, training ammunition for Lee–Enfield rifles, Bren and Vickers guns.

“Government Explosives Safety Class 6” circular stencil – confirming official classification under military storage regulations.

“Chelsea” – denoting the London ordnance depot where this box was distributed.

“332” – batch/lot number for tracking in service.

Stamped MK I H50 designation and 1954 date inside the lid.

Dimensions: 26 × 46 × 26 cm

Condition: Structurally solid with original khaki paint and stencilling still visible. Areas of rust and wear consistent with age and service use, adding to its authenticity and character.
