An antique cast brass candlestick dating to the Victorian period, c1850–1890. Made in the Georgian baluster style, this piece features a shaped knopped stem and a square base. The underside shows traditional sand-cast construction with age-related patina.
Originally, the candlestick would have included a removable drip pan/bobeche fixed at the top, now absent. This does not affect its sturdiness or usability, and it remains a handsome decorative candlestick.
Measurements:
Height: 22.5 cm
Base: 9 x 9 cm
Candle holder diameter: 2.5 cm
Condition: In good antique condition with natural age-related wear and patina. Missing its original drip pan, otherwise strong and ready to use or display.
A fine example of a Victorian cast brass candlestick in a traditional Georgian form. A fantastic way to bring history and culture into your home.
