A stunning example of early Victorian pottery.
The Victorians loved the blue & white "Willow" pattern, which has held its own and remainds a popular and timeless design.
The back has no markings to confirm.who made this piece. Markings were not required until 1885. Based on this and the glaze that has worn from the back showing earthenware, it is likely this piece is early Victorian.
Further examples of.its age are crazing, some fading of the colour and the odd small chip. None of this takes away from the beauty of the piece.
It is possible it could even be from the Georgian period, however it would be impossible to say for certain!
