Antique semi-porcelain sugar bowl with lid, made by Henry Alcock & Co, England, circa 1890–1910. Part of the “Floral” pattern range, this piece features a brown transferware floral design on an octagonal body, ornate double handles, and a finial-topped lid.
Made from semi-porcelain, it has a lovely aged character with all-over fine crazing typical of its age. There is a small chip to the inner rim (shown in photos), but the lid sits perfectly and the piece displays beautifully. Ideal for an antique kitchen dresser, period tea set display, or as part of a brown transferware collection.
