An antique stoneware hot water bottle made by Price Brothers of Hanley, Staffordshire. This example dates to the early 20th century and is clearly marked 3 Pt on the base, showing it holds three pints.
The bottle remains in good antique condition with its original ceramic screw stopper intact. Designed in a flat-sided oval form with ribbed detailing around the spout, it was once an essential household item, used to keep beds warm before rubber bottles became common.
