A pair of original Art Deco bookends dating to the early 1930s, marked with the Registered Design number RD 781585 and impressed Made in London. These decorative bookends feature charming cherub figures leaning against stylised books, a classic motif of the interwar period.

Made from composition plaster/chalkware, they showcase the craftsmanship of London decorative makers of the time. Each retains a soft, timeworn surface with visible age-related wear, chips, and repairs — including one section that has been re-glued. Despite this, they remain stable for display and carry a wonderful authentic Art Deco aesthetic.

A true piece of 1930s London design history, ideal for collectors of Art Deco decor or those seeking period character for their home or library.
