A mid-century West German jug by Bay Keramik, marked Bay W-Germany 671-17 to the base. This stoneware jug features bold relief decoration with a glossy two-tone glaze in brown and green, typical of Bay’s striking mid-century style.
The number 671 refers to the form, while 17 denotes the size in centimetres. Produced during the 1960s–70s, this jug is a fine example of West German art pottery, also known as the Fat Lava era.
Dimensions:
Height: 18 cm
Width (including handle): 14 cm
Depth: 11 cm
Base diameter: 7.5 cm
Condition: Good vintage condition overall with bright glaze. Small chips around the rim (see photos), but still a strong display piece.
A collectible addition for lovers of mid-century ceramics, West German pottery, or bold decorative jugs.
