A single mid-20th century Indian brass candlestick with a rounded baluster stem and domed circular base. Standing 19cm tall, it takes a standard 2.5cm taper candle.
The base is stamped India in dotted lettering, marking it as part of the mid-century brass export trade. The design echoes earlier English candlestick forms but with the solid, polished finish typical of Indian brassware.
In good vintage condition with light signs of age and candle use. Solid and weighty, it sits firmly on its 8.5cm base.
