A well-aged K&P Peterson briar pipe featuring a deep rusticated finish and a nickel mounted shank. The pipe is stamped K & P Peterson on the ferrule, with the remaining markings likely worn away due to age and long-term use. This is an early Peterson style, most likely mid 20th century, with a classic compact bent shape and the original vulcanite stem.
The pipe shows considerable age-related wear including carbon build-up inside the bowl, rim darkening, and oxidation to the stem and ferrule. It remains an interesting estate example for collectors of older Peterson pipes or anyone who enjoys restoring traditional Irish briar pipes.
Dimensions: 14 x 3 x 5cm.
