A classic mid-century lidded casserole dish from the Langley Sherwood range, made in England in the 1960s. Crafted in robust stoneware with a rustic olive glaze and signature ribbed detailing, this pot is both functional and decorative. It features wide rounded handles and a steam vent in the lid, making it ideal for oven-to-table use.

The piece measures approx. 12cm high, 25cm wide including the handles, and 18.5cm in diameter.

The dish itself is in very good condition. There is a small chip to the inner rim of the lid (see photo), but it remains solid and fully usable. No cracks or structural flaws.

This piece is unmarked, which is typical of earlier production runs of the Sherwood range. It is identical in form and glaze to other marked examples and likely dates to the early to mid-1960s.

A beautiful and useful addition to any Langley collection or vintage kitchen.
