Pair of mid-century solid brass frog candlesticks, each sculpted standing upright and holding a single candle sconce. Over time the brass has developed a natural verdigris patina, giving a soft green mottled surface across the bodies and lily pad bases. This aged finish is desirable and left untouched to preserve the character.
Each holder rings with a clear, high tone when tapped, a hallmark of solid brass rather than a composite material. The bases are cast with lily pad detailing, tying in with the frog motif. One still retains a faint “Made in India” label on the underside.
