A pair of antique brass candlesticks with a Georgian revival design. Each has a stepped square base, baluster stem and flared sconce, sized for standard 2cm taper candles.

Dating from the late 19th to early 20th century, these candlesticks were made using hollow cast construction with central fixings. They also include the classic ejector feature – one candlestick still has its ejector mechanism in place though it has seized, while the other has evidence of the ejector but it is no longer present. This was a practical feature of the period, designed to lift the candle stub once it burned down.

The brass has a polished finish with age-related patina and tarnish to the bases, adding to their antique charm.
