A pair of mid-century glass cups by Mayell, made in England and marked Ebon Steel. Each one has a clear glass insert sitting in a pierced metal cup with a repeating geometric and foliate design, finished with small ball feet and curved handles.
These were designed for serving hot drinks in style, popular in the 1950s–60s as an alternative to china. The glass inserts are removable for easy cleaning and the cups have a bright silvery finish.
In good condition with only light cosmetic signs of age and use.
Height: 9 cm
