A pair of very interesting and characterful Japanese Satsuma vases. Both vases are hand painted with lots of stunning detail! There are the raised paint drops, in the classic Satsuma style, as well as beautiful raised detail on the aids, of door knockers with a dangling ribbon and hassles.
The vases don't have a stamp ok the bottom unfortunately. It is likely this has rubbed off over time. Due to the crazing however, it is evident that these vases are very old, as well as some of the discolouration. 
One of the vases are in very good condition, with no chips or cracks. The second vase has a hairline crack on the top and a little crack in the raised ribbon on the side. This is further evidence these pieces are old and the price has been adjusted accordingly. Please see photos for more details.
