A classic Peterson of Dublin System Standard 306 pipe, stamped Peterson of Dublin, System Standard and 306, with the nickel shank mount marked K & P Peterson. This is one of Peterson’s larger bent shapes, known for its deep bowl, curved silhouette and the traditional System reservoir for a cooler, drier smoke.
The pipe has clear age-related wear including carbon build-up in the bowl, rim darkening, oxidation and wear to the vulcanite stem and some verdigris on the nickel mount. Still a solid estate example of a sought-after Peterson System pipe with plenty of character and ideal for collectors or those who enjoy restoring classic Irish briar pipes.
