This is a lovely Peterson’s System pipe in the classic 314 shape, made in the Republic of Ireland. It has the well-known moisture reservoir and military-style stem that Peterson pipes are loved for. The bowl is crafted from quality briar with a smooth black-stained finish, paired with a nickel mount stamped K&P.
The stem is vulcanite with age-related wear, and the nickel band has natural verdigris from time. The pipe has been used and the bowl shows an established cake. Overall, it is a characterful mid-century example with the traditional Peterson feel and a comfortable bent profile.
A great piece for collectors, for restoration, or as a classic Irish briar pipe with a lot of presence.
