This is a beautiful pair of Victorian brass candlesticks with square stepped bases and a classic turned baluster silhouette. They have a lovely aged tone and elegant proportions, typical of late 19th century brassware.
Each candlestick stands 24cm tall with a 9 x 9cm base and a 2cm candle cup, perfect for standard taper candles. The undersides show the hand-turned construction associated with authentic Victorian pieces rather than later reproductions.
There are two condition points to note. One candlestick has its original push-up ejector still in place but it has seized with age, and the other is missing its ejector entirely. Both remain fully usable as candlesticks and display beautifully together as a matching pair.
