Vintage gold-tone seal brooch featuring a circus-style sea lion balancing a clear rhinestone ball on its nose. It also has a small red rhinestone eye. The smooth sculpted form, playful animal theme and stone placement are very much in keeping with designs by BJ (Beatrix Jewellery), and it is highly likely to be an unmarked piece from the same maker.
It is in very good vintage condition with light signs of cosmetic wear as expected for a vintage piece. The roll-over safety clasp on the reverse fastens securely.
