A vintage Indian brass incense burner with lovely pierced quatrefoil detail and a hinged lid. This small oval piece was likely made for the mid-century export market, following the traditional form used for burning resins or small charcoal discs. The inside shows the original burn patina from past use, adding to its character and authenticity.
On the base is a faint square patch where a label once sat, and it is likely this would have been a “Made in India” sticker, which was common on mid-20th-century brassware. The piece has a rustic, handmade feel with natural patina throughout, giving it a warm, aged look that works beautifully in boho and eclectic interiors.
