A stunning ceramic bowl with a brass rim, featuring a rural Chinese scene with pretty florals and people by the river.
The makers mark states "Alton" I believe this belongs to the China company based in Longton between 1950 - 1957, when they stopped trading.
I also believe these bowls were never meant to contain lids.
I'm very good vintage condition.
No chips or cracks, but there is some crazing, which is further confirmation of the pieces age.
