A bright and beautifully hand-painted vintage Mexican Talavera-style pottery pitcher with a classic tilted neck and a pierced side handle. This shape is traditional in Mexican folk pottery and was originally designed as a decorative cantaro. The multicolour banding is full of character, with visible brushstrokes and a glossy finish that gives it a lively, rustic look.
The colours range from deep blue and green to yellow, orange and red, creating a bold striped design that stands out instantly on a shelf or in a boho-styled room. There is natural glaze crazing throughout, which is very typical for this type of pottery and adds to its charm and age.
In very good vintage condition with no chips or cracks.
