A very rusric solid brass jam jar pot woth two handles.
I'm unable to date this piece exactly, but it is likely made somewhere in the early 20th century, as when these were popular.
It had stood the test of time and is very good vintage condition. It was likely a utilitarian piece, meaning it was high-quality made to be functional rather then decorative. The quality can be see on the piece.
Quite a weighty piece at 4.5kg, there is some wear due to its age. This includes rust on the handles and patina on the brass.
These are now very popular as planters and would make a fab rustic planter in the home!
Measures 15cm in height (including the handles 20cm) and 30cm Diameter at the top and 24cm diameter at the bottom.
