Vintage stoneware hot water bottle. Stoneware hit water bottles such as this were popular in Victorian times, unless rubber hot water bottles became mass produced in the early 20th century. As such, it is likely this piece is an antique and was made I'm the 1800s. 
Overall in very good condition with some signs of age and use. There is no manufacturing mark, again suggesting this is Victorisn before makers marks became a requirement. 
This would still make the perfect vintage hot water bottle, however could be used for several things such as a rustic planter, as suggested in the photo!
