A solid old carpenter’s mallet, handmade from quality hardwood with that proper aged patina you only get from years of use. Likely mid-20th century or earlier, with a weighty feel and a lovely grain that still shows through the scuffs and knocks. The wear on the face, paint marks and small chips just add to the rustic charm.
It's still functional if you're after an honest-to-goodness mallet for chiselling, but I think this one’s best suited for display – ideal for a shelf, studio wall, or even a themed pub or shop setting. Great character, built to last, and full of that worn-in, no-nonsense workshop appeal.
