Early 20th-century blue and white tea cup and saucer in the “Yuan” pattern by Wood & Sons, England. Featuring a Chinoiserie-inspired design with a pheasant among foliage and a detailed geometric and floral border, finished in underglaze blue transfer print.
The cup measures approximately 6cm high with a 9cm diameter, and the saucer is 14cm in diameter. Both pieces are in very good condition with no chips, cracks or crazing, and only light signs of age-related wear.
A lovely example of early 20th-century Staffordshire pottery, ideal for collectors of Wood & Sons, blue and white ceramics, or for display in a traditional kitchen setting.
