An antique Dutch brass oil lamp with the classic tall stem, removable lower drip cup and twin spouts. The upper reservoir shows an aged interior from previous use, and the surfaces carry a warm brass patina throughout.
Both the reservoir and base are decorated with hand-engraved pastoral scenes, including a windmill, cottage and farm animals, typical of Dutch folk art brasswork. The piece also has an integral brass hook at the back, allowing it to hang from a wall in the traditional manner.
The removable lower cup sits neatly on the base and mirrors the same hand-worked character. The soldered joints, uneven hand-cut edges and oxidation to the underside all support its genuine age and workshop-made construction.
A characterful antique Dutch piece that works well as a display item for collectors of old lighting, brassware or European folk art.
