This antique Dutch "Snotneus" (Snotty Nose) oil lamp is an authentic piece of late 19th-century metalwork. The two-piece set includes a removable oil reservoir and a pedestal stand, both crafted from brass with a copper base. The exterior is decorated with traditional hand-engraved folk scenes of a windmill and a cow in a pasture.
The lamp shows significant signs of age and manual craftsmanship, including heavy, visible lead-solder joints and hand-rolled edges. The unique "rough" assembly and natural oxidation highlight its history as a functional household object from the Victorian era.
