This stunning piece I believe was originally designed to be a Condiment Bowl and spoon. The most eye-catching part of this lovely little set are the Lion Claw feet, giving an ornate Baroque vibe.
The bottom of the bowl reads - Walker & Hall Sheffield England".
Based on this mark, it is likely this was made around 1909. Walker & Hall were pioneers in Silver and so also based on the 'A' and '100' marks, this set has been silver plated with high quality silver. The spoon also has the
"A", as well as "W & H" marks.
As with all vintage pieces, this has signs of age, which really just has further character. The outside of the bowl is in great condition, with just some cosmetic signs of wear. The inside has lots of lovely patina.
The perfect set to bring a little bit of culture and history into your home.
