An antique cast metal picture frame in the Rococo Revival style, featuring flowing scrollwork, shell motifs and raised floral detailing. The frame stands on an integrated easel back with a toothed support bar, giving it a stable display angle. It has a warm brassy gold tone with natural age texture to the surface, consistent with older spelter frames from the late 19th to early 20th century.
The casting shows good depth in the decoration, and the structure is solid with a noticeable weight. Originally used for cabinet card photographs or small portrait prints, it also works well today as a decorative frame for artwork, dried flowers, postcards or small styled displays.
A characterful antique piece for collectors of ornate frames, Rococo Revival design or period home decor.
