An antique shell cameo brooch dating to the late 19th to early 20th century. The oval cameo is carved from natural shell and features a classical female profile in soft cream tones against a warm beige background. It is set within a simple brass bezel with a traditional wire bar, typical of Victorian and early Edwardian jewellery.
Please note: the bar is broken, so this piece is offered for repair, repurposing or decorarive display. The cameo itself is intact and displays the age-related toning expected of older shell carvings.
A lovely small project for a jeweller, or ideal for resetting into a pendant or ring.
