A very eye-catching Shetland Pony, created by Bossons for their Briar Rose Collection.
The Shetland Pony is highly collectable and somewhat rare. It was the first of the series and produced between 1972 - 1979.
On the bottom there is the "Bossons Briar Rose England" mark, but also a mark that states "Design Registration Applied For". This means it is highly likely this Shetland Pony was one of the first ever made by Bossons in 1972.
The Pony is made of Gypsum Plaster and was created to resemble Rose Wood.
In overall good vintage condition. There are no chips or cracks, however there are a few little scuffs to the paintwork due to the pieces age.
