A solid brass bucket with a simple cylindrical form and swing handle, utilitarian in style and made as a practical working piece rather than a decorative one.
The plain rolled rim, flat base and riveted handle fittings are consistent with functional brassware. The surface shows age-related wear and patina, adding to its character.
There is a small sticker to the underside stating Indian origin. This is likely to have been added later by a vintage seller and was not present when the piece was new. As such, the country of origin cannot be stated with certainty. While it may be Indian, it is best described more generally as a utilitarian brass piece dating to the early to mid 20th century.
Now well suited for use as a decorative planter, cache pot or rustic interior accent.
