This is a genuine piece of Delft Blue (Delfts Blauw) pottery, handcrafted by the renowned BV Kunstaardewerkfabriek ‘De Delftse Pauw’ in Delft, Netherlands. Established in 1954, this factory is one of the few remaining studios that continues the tradition of entirely hand-painting their ceramics rather than using transfer prints.
The miniature jug features a classic floral motif in varying shades of cobalt blue against a creamy white glaze. The underside bears the authentic hand-painted factory marks, including the initials "D.P." and the artist’s signature or identification numbers. This piece is accompanied by its original Certificate of Authenticity, which verifies its origin from the Chamber of Commerce and Industry for Delft.
The jug is in very good vintage condition, with no chips, cracks, or crazing. It shows only minor cosmetic wear consistent with its age.
