This decorative bowl features a classic Imari-style colour palette with hand-painted deep orange roses, navy blue leaves highlighted with gilt, and a stylised blue border around the rim. A vibrant, bold piece with timeless appeal—perfect as a statement item for display or as a distinctive indoor planter.
The base bears a red printed mark showing a seated potter with the word “Rose". There appears to be a manufacturing error in the stamp, making it incomplete or partially obscured. However, the design and style are consistent with pieces made by Lancaster & Sandland Ltd, active in Staffordshire during the early to mid 20th century.
In very good vintage condition, with only minor signs of wear consistent with age.
This bowl would look stunning in a vintage-inspired or eclectic interior, on a sideboard, plant stand, or as a centrepiece on a table. Ideal for those who love floral ceramics and bold decorative accents.
