A mid-century stoneware salt shaker from the Langley Sherwood range, made in England in the 1960s. Finished in the classic olive green glaze with signature ribbed banding, this piece has a lovely rustic feel and includes its original plastic stopper.
Measures approx. 10cm tall and 4.5cm in diameter.
There is a small chip to the top near the shaker holes (see photo), but the piece remains fully functional and displays beautifully. The wear is minimal and adds to its rustic charm. No other damage, and the stopper is still present and intact.
This piece is unmarked, which is typical of earlier production runs of the Sherwood range. It matches marked examples in form and glaze and likely dates to the early to mid-1960s.
A charming addition to any Langley pottery collection or rustic kitchen setup.
