A striking pair of large Art Deco cast brass candlesticks, titled “The Diamond Prince” and stamped England Rd 385856. Dating from the early 20th century, these elegant and substantial candlesticks feature bold faceted stems, octagonal bases and broad drip rims — a design that perfectly captures the geometric elegance of the Art Deco period.
Crafted from solid cast brass, they are beautifully weighty and well balanced, with visible casting detail to the undersides confirming their quality English manufacture. The design registration number and “Diamond Prince” name were both used for decorative brassware produced around the 1920s–1930s.
The polished brass has a warm golden tone with gentle signs of age and a naturally developed patina, adding character without detracting from their striking sculptural form.
