A pair of handmade stoneware salt and pepper shakers created to commemorate the Leeds Country Way Relay in 1995 and 1996. Each shaker features the Leeds owl emblem with the wording “Leeds Country Way Relay” and the year impressed to the front.
Glazed in natural stone and blue-grey tones, both have their original cork stoppers and a rounded bulbous shape with tapering necks. These unusual pieces were likely commissioned in small numbers for the event, making them an interesting find for collectors of Leeds memorabilia, running history, or studio pottery.
