This is a mid-century brass fly match holder with a hinged lid and engraved England mark. The wings lift to reveal the match compartment, and the inside of the lid has textured grooves for striking matches. A functional and decorative piece, typical of 1930s–1950s smoking room accessories.
It measures approximately 3 × 9 × 6 cm and weighs 171g. In good vintage condition with natural surface wear and patina from age. The hinge works well and the piece opens and closes smoothly.
