A rare and complete mid-century First Aid case, featuring original British medical supplies dating from the 1950s–70s. Housed in its original white-painted metal case with bold red “FIRST AID CASE” lettering, this set is a remarkable survivor from a time when public health and industrial safety were evolving under post-war NHS reforms.
The interior contains a wide range of original and unused supplies, all branded to B.P.C. (British Pharmaceutical Codex) standards, including:
Large and medium wound dressings (No. 14 & 15 BPC)
BPC cotton wool and superfine surgical lint
Small sterilised lint dressing
Petroleum jelly (glass jar)
Micropore surgical tape
Original First Aid Hints leaflet
Eye patch, plasters, bandages
Tweezers, 3x vintage medical scissors
Forehead scan and glass thermometers
The contents are clean and beautifully preserved for display. The metal case shows surface wear and internal oxidation consistent with age but remains structurally solid—adding authenticity and charm for collectors and period stylists.
Ideal for display in:
Vintage medical collections
Industrial and NHS history exhibitions
Mid-century interiors or apothecary-style décor
Film, theatre, and photography props
Not suitable for medical use. For display or collection only.
Condition: Contents in excellent vintage condition. Exterior case shows cosmetic wear and internal rusting typical of age.
