A mid-century modern set of plates by "Winterling Rosau Bavaria", featuring gold gilding and pastel colours.
The plated appear to be quite abstract. My own interpretation is that the gold gilded shapes look like crayons and the colours in the middle are crayon marks. A very interesting and unique design for sure!
Based on the makers mark on the back, I estimate these plates to have been made between 1945 - 1950.
In very good condition ekth no chips, cracks or crazing.
The set features one desert plate and five tea plates (perhaps for a small piece of bread or cake).
