A pair of solid brass barley twist candlesticks, dating to around the 1930s. Each features a round stepped base, spiral twist stem and wide candle holder designed for slim taper candles.

The barley twist motif, popular in the 17th century and revived in the Victorian and Edwardian periods, remained a classic of English brassware well into the early 20th century. These smaller candlesticks carry natural patina and surface wear from age, giving them depth and character.
