A beautifully crafted pair of vintage cast brass barley twist candlesticks, made in the Arts & Crafts style and dating from the early to mid-20th century. Wonderfully weighty and well-balanced, they feature sculptural spiral stems, flared candle holders and wide circular bases — combining traditional craftsmanship with elegant design.
Produced using the sand-casting method, the bases retain a subtly textured finish typical of older brasswork, while the polished surfaces and refined symmetry suggest quality foundry production from the 1930s–1950s. Their form draws clear inspiration from the earlier Arts & Crafts movement, where honest materials and simple, graceful shapes were celebrated.
