Rare antique Teacup Trio, featuring an Imari design. The stamp on the bottom doesn't bare an obvious mark, however this particular Imari design belongs to "Thomas Forester". Initials were used in 1883, until they began officially stamping their pottery from 1881 onwards. As such, this trio set is likely to have been made between 1883 - 1891.
The set appears to be majolica pottery. You can see raised paint where it has likely been handpainted and then fired up in the kiln and glazed. It's a very rare set as there aren't many around.
Overall in good condition. There are no chips or cracks, but as this is an antique item, there are signs if age such as a little bit of cosmetic wear and marks.
A truly lovely teacup trio, that will bring both character and history into your home.
