Rare original Pelham Puppets Rota Puppet depicting Mr. Rusty from The Magic Roundabout. Handmade in England in the late 1960s–early 1970s, this character features a hand-painted head, wool hair and beard, felt clothing and large yellow wooden clogs. Operated by a single wooden rod, the figure moves by gentle twisting and pushing.
These Rota Puppets were produced in smaller numbers than standard Pelham string puppets and are now sought after by collectors.
In good vintage condition with signs of use, including a few cosmetic marks and light stains consistent with age. Clothing and hair are intact and the puppet displays well.
