Stunning and very large antique bowl from the Victorian period. It measures 13cm in height and 39cm in diameter.
The bowl features very pretty pastel florals with raised patterns beneath them, that you can feel with your hand.
The mark below reads "Mintons Syria". Based on this mark and the registration number, I estimate this piece to gave made between 1873 - 1891.
Possibly once used as a large fruit bowl for entertaining guests, this would now make an amazing centrepiece on a table or a side table. It could also look great with a plant stood on the middle of it.
At almost 150 years old, this piece is in reasonable vintage condition and is still standing strong. Some of the colour has faded and the white has become tanned. There are a few hairline cracks around the edges and a small broken piece out of the bottom. Despite these imperfections, which can come with age, it is still in incredibly sturdy condition.
