A pair of antique Victorian brass candlesticks, dating to around c1850. These tall candlesticks feature elegant baluster stems with knop details, stepped octagonal bases and wide drip pans with slim taper candle holders.
They retain their original Victorian ejector mechanisms (now seized with age), a desirable feature that marks them out as authentic mid-19th century candlesticks. The brass has developed a rich natural patina, with surface wear that reflects over 170 years of age and use.
