This is a vintage cast brass trivet with decorative cabriole legs, designed in a heritage style and featuring a Royal Coat of Arms motif. The pierced panel shows a lion, unicorn and heraldic shield in ornate openwork scrolls, giving it a classic British look.
It includes the famous motto Dieu et mon droit, which translates to God and my right — a phrase used for centuries in British royal heraldry. Although the layout is a decorative interpretation rather than an official armorial design, it carries all the charm of traditional royal symbolism.
Originally used as a kettle or pot stand near the hearth, it now works beautifully as a plant stand or decorative riser, adding height and interest to a shelf or windowsill.
In vintage condition with expected surface wear and patina from age.
