A mid-20th century Chinese brass display bowl paired with its original carved wooden stand. The bowl features an engraved dragon wrapped around the body, with a traditional key-fret border along the rim. These bowls were typically used on home altars or scholar’s desks for offerings, incense ash or decorative display.
The wooden stand is made from two interlocking carved panels that slot together to form a stable X-shaped base. It is decorated with longevity motifs, a common symbol in Chinese art.
Both pieces display the expected signs of age but remain in good decorative condition, and the bowl sits securely on the stand.
