A lovely set of six vintage British Coronation replica spoons, inspired by the historic Coronation Anointing Spoon used by the Archbishop of Canterbury during the anointing of the monarch. These small commemorative sets were produced by various makers over the years, often unmarked like this one, and feature the traditional decorative styling associated with the original medieval spoon.
Each spoon is crafted in a copper-rich alloy, giving them a warm reddish tone, and finished with ornate detailing across the bowls and handles. The repoussé-style patterns, circular medallions and twisted finials are all characteristic of mid-century Coronation souvenir production.
Dimensions of each spoon are approx. 11 x 2 x 1cm, with a combined weight of 66g. They have a gentle aged patina and light surface wear consistent with their vintage nature, with crisp decoration throughout.
A charming set for collectors of British Coronation memorabilia, regal-themed décor or decorative small wares. They display beautifully and make a lovely addition to a commemorative collection.
